Tie & Saree Day

You could feel the excitement buzzing in the air as soon as you stepped onto the campus. It was Tie & Saree Day and the energy was incredible from start to finish. The campus was alive with colors and chatter, and everywhere you looked, students were dressed to impress. The sunlight glinted off silk sarees, and ties in every shade bounced as people walked or hurried to join friends and take pictures in the photo booth our beloved Creatives department made. The moment our host Roshan grabbed the mic, everyone was drawn in. With enthusiasm, charm, and a little friendly teasing, he got the crowd hyped and ready for the surprises ahead. Some were adjusting their sarees with delicate precision, others were straightening their ties nervously or confidently, but everyone shared the same spark of anticipation. The scent of Mojito from nearby stalls mingled with the crisp air, adding a cozy, festive touch. There was a sense of togetherness, a feeling that we were all about to step into this little khwaab together, a khwaab woven from laughter, music, and celebration.

The creative department had transformed the campus into a breathtaking wonderland. Every corner was alive with colors, and artful decor that made the day feel almost surreal. The delicate touches of roses, sunflowers and gajras, made the campus look like a place where dreams could actually come true. Walking around, you felt part of a magical story being told in every corner. The technicals department worked seamlessly behind the scenes, making sure the music elevated the atmosphere perfectly. Every beat and every pulse of the bass made the energy of the day feel alive and electric.

Then came the showstopper. Our HODs and coordinators took the stage for a surprise dance. As soon as the music started, their faces lit up, and their energy was infectious. Seeing them let loose with full confidence had everyone cheering. Who knew formal wear could look this cool while busting moves? Laughter and claps bounced from one group to another, and for a moment, the campus felt like one shared khwaab.

Just when we thought we would catch our breath, the Dhol Tasha crew stormed in. The beats hit you right in the chest, making your heart sync with the rhythm. Everyone started clapping, stomping, and moving to the beat. It was impossible not to get caught up in the energy, and for a few magical minutes, everyone floated together in the rhythm, forgetting everything else.

The PR team added their own special touch. Their stalls not only offered mojitos, roses, jagras, but also batches from previous OLÉ editions, letting everyone feel connected to the history and spirit of the festival. Students took pictures, grabbed souvenirs, and sipped drinks, adding to the carnival-like, dreamy atmosphere of the campus.

Then we gave a heartfelt tribute to all the previous OLÉ themes, honoring the legacy and the memories that each year brought. Finally, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived: The banner reveal for OLÉ एक Khwaab happened. The banner was in all its glory. Tie & Saree Day felt even more special, as if we were stepping into a khwaab painted with colors, music, and laughter. Cheers erupted, phones clicked nonstop, and everyone wanted pictures with the banner.

Then came, DJ Aaron who’s also a student from junior college and he took over the campus with his amazing beats. Sarees swirled, ties bounced, and everyone let loose as if nothing else existed. Teachers even came down, dancing with the students, matching their energy step for step. Some students spun around so wildly their ties flew across the floor, and laughter followed every stumble. By the end of it all, we were sweaty, smiling, and buzzing from an unforgettable day.

Tie & Saree Day at OLE felt like stepping into a vibrant khwaab. Colors, laughter, music, and movement blended together as if the campus itself was alive with magic. Every move, every cheer, every swirl of a saree made the day feel unforgettable. The campus came alive in the most magical, fun-filled way. If you were not there, you definitely missed one of the best days of the year.
